The process

Four steps, always the same, and you see something running before you commit to the rest.

  1. 1

    We look

You talk me through your week and what goes wrong in it. I find what repeats and what costs you most.

  2. 2

    We build

A first tool, chosen together, built with your real calls, your real quotes, your real systems.

  3. 3

    We test and we ship

We run it in your business, fix what snags, and it stays in service.

  4. 4

    We carry on

The next job, in whatever order suits you.

The questions that come up

What does it cost?

It depends on what we build, and the figure is worked out during the audit, on your own numbers. We start with one job, the one costing you most, not with a rebuild of everything. You know what it is worth before you commit to the rest.

How long does the audit take?

It starts with thirty minutes on video, where you talk me through your week and what snags in it. Then I go through your real documents, your real calls and your real systems, for as long as it takes to be sure of what I am proposing. You come away with what repeats in your business, what it costs you, and where to start.

Does this replace my people?

No. What we build takes on the work that surrounds the trade, the quote, the keying in, the job sheet, and not the trade itself. The moment there is a doubt or an emergency, it hands over to someone on your team, and the caller is told so without having to ask.

Where does my data go, and who keeps it running?

What we build belongs to you and stays in your name, and that is written on the quote. We plug into the systems you already run rather than forcing new ones on you, so your documents stay where they are. Keeping it running is on us for as long as the tool is in service, so there is nobody to hire for it.

Why industrial companies and not sole traders?

Because I know this ground and the gain is clearer here. In a maintenance business the same handful of moves comes round every day, on machines, on quotes and on job sheets, and that is where a bespoke tool pays for itself. For a sole trader the volume is not there to make it worth it, and I would rather say so.
